Grading Criteria:
Participation (group and class work, attendance)
Assignments (homework, in-class assignments, etc)
Final Project + Presentation
Grading for this class will be criterion-referenced, meaning that marks will be assigned based on an already decided set of expectations. Marks are given based on an understanding of material, not on comparison to other assignments or other students.
Revisions: Students will be allowed to re-write or re-submit one assignment or test per term of their choice.
Cheating or plagiarizing: If students are caught cheating or plagiarizing on a project or written assignment they will be given the opportunity to re-write. However, on this re write they will not be able to receive a grade higher than 50%, which is a pass. Students will not penalized twice, but need to understand that cheating or plagiarizing is not tolerated.
